LTC (Retired) Ray Null is a combat veteran serving in Desert Storm and the Army for over 25 years. After that he found himself in leadership positions in the corporate world with organizations like Booz Allen Hamilton, Raytheon, and Northrup Grumman. Ray began his military career as an infantry officer ans the continued on as an officer in Army Aviation.
Joining the military in 1975, he attended the Infantry Officer Basic Course followed by Airborne and Ranger Training. After serving in numerous leadership positions. He attending the Armor Officer Advanced Course and then the US Army Rotor Wing Course. He served in Europe and the Middle East to include Desert Storm. He concluded in military career after commanding an AH-64 Apache Battalion. He was awarded the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star. He attended the University of North Alabama on an Army Scholarship majoring in Criminal Justice then completing his Masters in International Studies at Troy State.
Ray was born in Waco, Texas and was raised in the area where my father was a Police Officer. After retiring from the military and working overseas, Ray chose to return to Texas.
After returning to Texas, Ray moved to El Paso Texas where he worked as Department of the Army Civilian , as Chief of Training 1st Armored Division, Ft Bliss. Later he and his wife Dr Hana Teissler-Null moved to the rural area of Lamar County where she continued her medical practice and they raise cattle.
In his private service years he found himself traveling the country and the world. He worked in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. While with Raytheon as a Program Manager in Iraq, he led the fielding of a major Intel System in the country. His days at Booz Allen Hamilton found him in auditing various large corporations and conducting business development of some major Industrial partners.
Ray and his wife, DR Hana Teissler-Null have lived in Paris for about eight years. She has been a practicing physician for over twenty years and taught for several years at Texas Tech Medical School in El Paso. Their four children live throughout Texas and Colorado. They Have four grandchildren. Ray’s mother and father have passed but Hana’s mother still lives in the Chech Republic at the age of 94.
